Sunny sunny fun

I took today off and made it a four day weekend for me. And what did I do today? Learned the Haruhi dance. I have to say…it’s harder than it looks. And I gotta tone down them hula hips.

You know I have an knack of not recognizing my own family when I run into them. One example than I mentioned before was my cousin, Michelle. I ran into her at UCI and she recognized me, but I straight out said to her that I had no idea who she was until she told me. Big anime sweatdrop would have appeared over my head. Then recently I was at an Asian market and I walked by this girl who had a familiar vibe to her but I ignored it. She yelled my name and said she couldn’t believe I didn’t recognized her and my mouth dropped. It was yet another cousin, one that is closer but she just looked really different. Anime sweat drop here as well.

Anyway, tomorrow I’ll be going to the Iam8bit show in Hollywood and then spend the rest of the weekend in Vegas. Ya’ll have a safe Labor Day weekend now.

Gluttony at its best

On shaky ground

The earthquake happened while I was at work. I was slowly dozing off into the abyss of sleep until I felt the building shaking. I realized an earthquake was happening but I just sat there in my chair, contemplating about whether or not I should dive under my desk and take cover. The shaking stopped before I came to a decision.

A 5.4 earthquake isn’t as bad as some people make it seem. It is, however, very unnerving and re-creates this fear in me that a bigger one is possibly coming.

In any case, I should really be getting some sort of emergency kit soon :p

Drill a hole into my skull

My work had a “team building” event this past Saturday and it was fun.

Just as fun as slashing my wrists.

The day wasn’t a complete waste though. We saw Dark Knight later in the evening at the Archlight theatre in LA. It wasn’t IMAX, but it was still a nice change of environment. And the best part was not having to wait in line–it was reserve seating. We bought tickets online and was able to choose which seats we wanted. Just like Ticketmaster except without the ridiculous fees and web traffic.

Well the only thing good coming up is Comic Con (even though I’ll be going on Sunday). Kim’s bridal shower was on Sunday and that went awesome-ly well!
